Bladder exstrophy survivor

Hello everyone,

I'm 62 years old, female, and was born with the rare birth defect of bladder exstrophy (bladder on the outside of the abdominal wall, inside out). After numerous surgeries as a child and adolescent, I grew up completely incontinent of urine. But, life went on and I finally gained urinary control by the age of 20 after my last surgery where my ureturs were re-routed.

So, now I've been experiencing OAB for about five months and have tried Vesicare and Detrol LA, to no avail. I'm curious about other people's medication and/or treatment successes that I may research since I'm feeling desperate.

BTW, I highly recommend Poise pads since they absorb everything!

Thank in advance -- K
